What is the difference between the Classic and Slalom Shell?
The boots are essentially the same – but with the addition of a flexion brake to limit forward movement of the boot and reduce the pressure on the achilles during a fall.
You get all the safety, control and performance of the regular classic shell, simply with a little more protection in a fall.
Can this be used for tricks?
No, for tricking you need to flex your ankle heavily. The flexion brake stops this movement and when landing tricks it can cause a pre-release.
